Twirling Around in Floral Prints and Riding Boots

Okay everyone!!! It has been quite a week so far. I’ve been battling the snow for two days and still trying to learn my new position at work. Speaking of snow, I saw a sweet man wreck his Prius into a rock yesterday morning in my icy apartment complex and I felt so bad for him. He slid right off the roundabout and into a rock because the snow made him lose control of the car. Thankfully he was okay. Thats why I try to be extra careful driving mine. I drive a Mercury Grand Marquis. Yes, a cop car!!! A gift from my sweet grandmother. I think the snow has finally stopped for a little bit. Thank goodness, because we only have three days until Valentine’s Day. I don’t want to be cooped up inside for the whole Valentine’s Day weekend! I’ve got to celebrate!!!

Regardless of what you do for Valentines Day you should feel special the whole day! A great way to feel special is to have an amazing outfit on that will help you feel beautiful. I have a few snapshots above with my Valentine (my boyfriend, Tyler) to give you some date outfit inspiration. I know the sundress isn’t appropriate in the winter but if you throw on a jacket and boots you should be good to go. I shot these in Nashville only a couple weeks ago right before the snow started.

So lets talk about these outfits! I am wearing a B.B. Dakota dress. I got this dress to wear to a wedding last fall and I just love it. It is the perfect dress for casual AND fancy events. I love the length of it. You can dance, bend over to pick something up, or get out of the car and never have to worry about anything slipping out of place. I also think the pattern is beautiful. The one I am wearing is sold out but I linked to the same pattern, same brand, but different cut below. These boots are a classic riding boot. I have had these boots for 5 years and worn them soo much. They get better with time which is what is so great about them. Tyler’s outfit is his favorite Woolrich pull over with his go-to Lucky Brand Jeans. I linked some other Woolrich options below. He is very active and always moving around or working on something.
