This little black dress is a classic wardrobe staple. Everyone knows black is slimming and timeless! This Maggy London dress was one that jumped out at me right away. I went shopping at Nordstrom last fall with my mom and sister because I had a few weddings to go to and this dress was what BOTH of them picked out. I will be able to wear it to special events for years to come. If you don’t have a little black dress ready to go in your closet then this one would be perfect for you. It’s a flattering cut for all body sizes, very feminine, and you feel like a million bucks when you rock it!! I paired this dress with some Ann Taylor earrings that are sold out. However I linked to a very similar (even cuter) pair HERE by Bauble Bar. I am also wearing the classic Calvin Klein black leather pumps which I think never goes out of style! I hope you enjoy this look.
So, how was everyone’s Valentine’s Day/weekend? I had a wonderful weekend! Nothing too crazy compared to the beginning of this month but still fun. Friday night I went out with some friends for dinner and drinks. Then on Saturday I went to Broadway at night. If you aren’t familiar with Nashville, Broadway is the main strip of Honky Tonks in downtown Nashville. . It’s a lot of fun! My boyfriend and I went down there for a friend’s birthday. We like to go off the beaten path and hit up some of the karaoke bars. So fun!!! For actual Valentine’s Day my boyfriend took me to one of my favorite jewelry stores (Kendra Scott) and let me pick something out. Because his birthday was in the month of February we actually got 50% off the item I picked out! What a deal, huh?!? I will be wearing it on the blog here soon. I just love it! You are going to have to stay tuned to find out what piece I picked. I have a picture of him below drinking the mimosa they offered us when we walked into the jewelry store! They have great customer service! My boyfriend (Tyler) and I joked around about how we have no idea what he is doing with his hand in this picture. Ha-ha. For the rest of Valentine’s Day we had brunch at The Perch (a Nutella waffle, provolone/bacon/spinach omelet, and smoked gouda grits. . . MMMmmmm) then of course dinner as well (one of the local Thai restaurants nearby)! We ate wayyyy to much! I love Thai food. Edamame, dumplings, Tom-Kah, and Pad Thai is our jam. Overall nothing crazy which is just how I like it! We wanted to keep it low key because we are meeting my twin sister and her boyfriend in Ashville, North Carolina in a couple of weeks (I will be sure to tell you all about it as well as take pictures!) so we want to save our money and live it up in Asheville.
