Pantone Color of the Year – Serenity

So if you read a lot of blogs (like me!) I am sure you have heard of the “Pantone color of the year” concept.  This year Pantone choose two colors (Rose Quartz and Serenity) but I have one in particular I like more, Serenity.  I chose this dress in celebration of it being  my favorite of the two colors!  Which one is your favorite?

I think a classic shift dress is the perfect addition to any girl’s closet.  This BB Dakota vegan leather jacket (aka not real leather and much more affordable) has been my go-to coat since temperatures are warming up for spring in TN.  I love how the sleeves stretch out so you can layer it easily (your arms don’t feel constricted).  The color is perfect to go with black or brown themed outfits.  I like the cut of the fabric and how it stays open!  These boots have gotten so much use this past winter because they are so comfortable and style well with jeans or a dress.  I love the price tag too!  These earrings are a little more wild than my usual tastes but go great as a statement piece with any outfit.  With these earrings being under $40 they are the only piece of jewelry you need to complement any outfit.  They steal the show!!

Tyler (my boyfriend) and I decided back in February we wanted to start traveling more often while we can. Because Tennessee is very accessible to other states we want to keep most of our trips within 4 hours of driving distance. We started out with Asheville, NC a few weekends ago. You can read all about our trip here. We just booked a trip for Chattanooga this month. Our first time renting a single room out of someone’s house on Air BnB (while they are staying there).  Should be interesting!!!  Don’t worry I will be sharing that trip too! Also in April we are going to go to a NASCAR race with some friends outside of Nashville! We have some very exciting months ahead. I can’t wait. Tyler and I joke around all the time that the only reason we go to work is so that we can take trips. We are only kidding, but we both think it’s hilarious.

Spoiler Alert: Last night I watched the finale of The Bachelor with some girlfriends from work (Don’t Judge Me! Ha-ha) I felt so bad for Jo-Jo but maybe Ben really found true love with Lauren B?!? Ha-ha.  I never watched the show in the past but this season I have kept up with some of it. I am keeping it short and sweet today but I hope everyone is having a great week!
