As ya’ll already know Valentine’s Day is less than two weeks away. Who’s excited?!?

I’m actually excited for a change! Normally I don’t care for Valentine’s Day considering I don’t really care for any holidays except Thanksgiving and Christmas. I know, what a party pooper, right?!? However, with my grandmother passing away last week and her being my favorite Valentine/person of all time, I am certainly making an effort to cherish relationships with loved ones more than ever. I am far more interested in holidays now and really trying to live it up. That being said, I brought my boyfriend, Tyler into this photo shoot for Valentine’s Day outfit ideas (and a few other outfits coming in the future. Disclaimer: We are not engaged.) I wanted to show a fun dress to wear for February 14^th. Over the past two years, Tyler has been the biggest blessing.  He and his family/friends have become almost like a second family to me since I moved away.

Anyways . . . on to this outfit!!

This pink flowy off the shoulder dress is something simple but unique.  It’s only $30!!! What a steal?!? I am really loving the whole “off the shoulder” trend right now and this blush color makes me blush!!! I think this dress would look adorable on all body types too.  ASOS makes it in petite, tall and curvy sizes!  This dress is on sale for a great price from ASOS and pairs well with any kind of boots (like these Frye boots), some heels, or even some solid colored flats. I choose boots because riding boots are my favorite type of shoe and we took these pictures on an actual farm in Franklin, Tennessee! It was a beautiful day. A stark contrast to the snowstorm we experienced only a week ago!! As for accessories, I am wearing a gold tortoise shell Michael Kors watch, Kate Spade bracelet and ABS earrings in gold.

I am not sure what my boyfriend and I are doing for Valentine’s Day yet. (I will keep you posted as it gets closer.  Don’t worry!) Honestly between the two of us we have too much going on to really stress about it or plan anything extravagant. I still have a great idea for you though if you live in the Nashville area. For our anniversary last year we went to Arrington Vineyards and that place was AMAZING! You should go there! You HAVE to check out their site here. It is owned by the country singer/radio voice Kix Brooks. It is a gorgeous house up on a hill over looking a vineyard. In the house you can buy bottled wine made right there, do a wine tasting, or just bring your own snacks and munch on the lawn. Can you say chip, salsa, hummus and grapes? You can taste 8 wines for $14!!  We did it last year and it was so much fun to try all the different flavors.  Normally this would be a bad idea in February but we’ve had really nice weather lately so I bet they will be popping!! In the summer the vineyard is one of the hottest weekend destinations in Nashville. The hill resembles a beach but instead of people in bathing suits you have gorgeous families in sundresses and gingham button downs. You also see lots of parties going on in the field. Sometimes they have live music. People with blankets sprawl out and just relax. I get warm-hearted just thinking about it!

For our plans, I am sure we will just go out to dinner. I don’t mind if we don’t do anything though because he made a special (less than 24 hour trip/last minute flight) to Florida yesterday just to be here for my grandmother’s funeral (because she was SO special to me). By him being there for me, it was the best Valentines/Anniversary/Birthday present I could ever ask for. Much better than any material item he could ever give me.

Family is life in my books!
