During a recent road trip to Atlanta to watch my alma mater the Florida Gators play Alabama for the SEC Championship, I got to check out some of Atlanta’s hot spots with my parents, brother, boyfriend and friends. Even though the results weren’t great (aka the Gators lost 😦 ) I had a wonderful time!
We started out Saturday morning with a trip to a cute breakfast place called West Egg Café in the White Provisions district. Even though they have some intense interpretations of breakfast I stayed with the classic eggs and bacon seen below. (Think sour cream pancakes, pimento cheese & bacon omelets, banana bread French toast, and pulled pork benedict, yummm). Next we did a little shopping at Free People (see links below). Then we found a coffee shop made out of a shipping container (how neat!) called Brash. At Brash I tried a “Cortado” for the first time. (espresso shot with a touch of milk.) Brash has a fantastic instagram account you can see here. I felt very coffee shop-esq in my all black outfit. See below for details. I always look forward to seeing my parents because I live 9 hours away from them (Jacksonville, FL). Therefore it made the trip even sweeter!
After our foodie adventure we hiked to the football game in the Georgia Dome. While walking to the game I stayed warm in this sweater/scarf combo. I love meshing fashion and my team colors together. My orange sweater and multi colored scarf, can be worn to support many teams, but works best supporting the Gators ;).
Then we wrapped up the trip with a visit to the Georgia Aquarium and some shopping. Overall it was a wonderful trip and it was soooo hard going back to the grind Monday morning. However, I have some very exciting outfits coming up in the next few weeks so stay tuned!!
